Dr. Atong Amos Agook Juac
“The future of Africa’s critical resources cannot, and must not, be separated from the dignity, safety, and empowerment of its people.”
Dr. Atong Amos Agook Juac is a celebrated South Sudanese business mogul, philanthropist, and civil society leader. As the founder of South Sudan’s first major female-owned petroleum firm, she brings over 10 years of multi-sector experience spanning private corporate operations, high-level diplomacy, and international NGO direction.
She previously served as Office Manager in the Office of the President of South Sudan and held executive leadership roles at the Assistance Relief and Development Agency (ARUDA), steering developmental and emergency programs funded by UN Women, CARE International, and Save the Children.
Humanitarian courage in action
During the April 2023 civil crisis in Sudan, Dr. Atong mobilized Triple A’s supply chain and financial assets to charter private aircraft, successfully evacuating over 180 stranded South Sudanese citizens from conflict zones to safety.
